Description in English: On February 18, 2014, Leopoldo Lopez, leader of the Voluntad Popular party, surrenders to Venezuelan authorities. He is accused -without evidence nor witnesses- of being responsible for the violent events following a series of riots in the capital, Caracas on February 12 which resulted in many young people getting killed.

He is incarcerated at a preventive jail and one year and half later, on September of 2015, the courts of President Nicolas Maduro s regime sentence him to a thirteen-year, nine months, seven days and twelve hours of jail, following a trial that lacked of any type of civil guarantees. This is Leopoldo Lopez s unpublished and clandestine journal, a prisoner for political and ideological reasons, starting the day when he was incarcerated at the Ramo Verde military prison. These are accounts of his conversations with other inmates; of the visits by his wife, Lilian Tintory, who has become his speaker at international forums; of his hunger strike; of the violent treatment; of the long and lonely days in confinement; of his thoughts...

This is a vibrant testimony of the nonviolent opposition by Lopez against an infamous government, a dictatorship disguised of populism that could soon be reaching its final days.
