The Bard's Harp contains 23 pieces of Elizabethan and Jacobean music that are believed to have originally accompanied the songs in Shakespeare's plays. The collection includes popular songs of the time that are quoted in Shakespeare's works as well as pieces thought to have been composed specifically for the plays. All of the pieces in this collection can be performed on a harp with just two and a half octaves, or on any larger harp or melody instrument. The pieces are arranged in the keys of C and G and their relative modes/minors. Each piece includes historical information, chord symbols, fingering, and lyrics. 48 pages, paperbound.
